Strikeforce & Christchurch’s own Tristan Hamer took on Dunedin boy Milner Apouri in a middleweight MMA bout at FSN2. This was one of the most exciting bouts of the night, not only because I knew Tristan years ago when he was a talented skateboarder, but because of the impromptu haka performed by one of Milner’s corner crew. A very good friend of mine; an athlete and talented entrepreneur, Matt Te Paa, is well known in the Australasian MMA (mixed martial arts) scene for his prowess in the ring. Stepping out of the ring to run events he created his own franchise ‘Fight Sports Night’. This is footage of the halftime poledance contest I filmed at the second FSN event. Read more
