Dead Prez formed in 1996 and have forever left their mark on hip hop with their aptly titled anthemic track ‘Hip Hop’. I don’t know a single hiphop fan who doesn’t know this track word for word, and in this clip you can see the enthusiasm in the crowd.
Promoting good health, the quest for knowledge and a fairer political system for all, both M1 and stic.man are activists for the modern age; a fresh breath of air in the midst of a music industry rushing out club singles and promoting bad behaviour. As someone who is always learning I love seeing artists like this get their dues.
